This year’s march attracted 30,000 overseas tourists, and was themed as “The Community Makes History”. The theme acknowledges three historical milestones: 10 years since the founding of the Gay Centre in Tel Aviv; 20 years since Tel Aviv’s first pride parade; and 70 years of Israeli independence.

The parade was launched by Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai and included 13 floats, one of which belongs to the British Embassy in Israel, the only embassy to have its own float.

British Ambassador H.E. David Quarry attended the parade, and the UK float’s design theme was icons of British music.

One of the main shows during the parade was by Netta Barzilai, the Israeli winner of the 2018 Eurovision song contest.
