G4SAccording to reports, the Labour Party’s National Executive Committee decided this week to boycott British private security company G4S due to its activities in Israel, it has emerged.

CFI’s Parliamentary Chairman, Rt. Hon. Sir Eric Pickles MP branded the move as another “fiasco” by the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, and “damaging to British jobs”.

Commenting on the news, Sir Eric said: “The Labour Party’s boycott of G4S is stupid, pointless, and damaging to British jobs. Labour seem to stumble from one fiasco to another, engaging in gesture politics that ends up hitting British workers”.

G4S has provided the Labour Party its conference security in recent years.

G4S currently provides Israeli prisons and checkpoints with equipment and services. The company has been under pressure from the Boycotts, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign to terminate its contracts with Israel’s Government.
