RAH2-635x357Over 3,000 Christian and Jewish supporters of Israel packed out the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday night, in a final event to celebrate the centenary of the Balfour Declaration.

Around 500 performers, singers, and actors took part in the event, reenacting the events leading to the historic events leading up to the Balfour Declaration on 2nd November 2017, until the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.

At the event, the current Lord Balfour read out the declaration in full.

Ambassador to Israel, H.E. Mark Regev, also addressed guests, describing the gathering as “amazing. It’s simply wonderful to be at the great Royal Albert Hall with an audience united in support of Israel. In bringing the Balfour Declaration, the UK stood up for what is right”.

Last week, the UK and Israel celebrated the centenary of the Balfour Declaration “with pride”, with Prime Minister Theresa May and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meeting in 10 Downing Street and a dinner.

Joining the two leaders in marking the anniversary, were 100 Conservative parliamentarians who co-signed a CFI-coordinated letter celebrating the Balfour Declaration in The Telegraph.

The centenary completes a year of celebrations, culminating in a dinner co-hosted by the current Lord Balfour and Lord Rothschild.

Addressing guests at the dinner, Prime Minister May hailed the UK’s “pioneering role” in the creation of Israel.
