Prime Minister David Cameron today announced the new government cabinet, following the Conservative victory in last week’s General Election, winning a total of 331 seats – the first Conservative majority since 1992.
Among the new appointments is CFI’s former political director Robert Halfon MP, who has been promoted as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party.
In the run-up to Election Day, the CFI team spent three weeks on the road campaigning for a Conservative Party victory, travelling in support of as many as 12 Conservative candidates. These included Bob Blackman, Nicky Morgan, James Morris, Tom Pursglove, Andrew Percy and Guto Bebb. We have had a wonderful time meeting with hundreds of people across the country to talk about the Conservative Party’s vision for a brighter, secure future.
In addition to our three-week campaign around the country, CFI also held a series of Action Days for Conservative candidates in London. We would like to thank again all those members that joined us!
We look forward to continuing our work in Parliament with the new Conservative intake.
