With less than a week to go until Thursday’s general election, Prime Minister Boris Johnson joined Finchley and Golders Green Conservative candidate Mike Freer on the campaign trail this morning.
During his visit to Golders Green, Prime Minister Johnson stopped at Jewish Care’s Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Campus, where he met tenants including survivor Rachel Levy, before visiting Grodzinski bakery.
The Prime Minister served customers at the packed bakery, wearing a ‘Get Brexit Done’ apron, as well as icing some doughnuts. Mr Johnson said on Twitter: “Thank you Grodzinski Bakery and to everyone who stopped by to say hello”.
Mr Freer and Prime Minister Johnson also wished British Jews a “Good Shabbos” in a video from the bakery.
Over the last nine years, Mike Freer has been a energetic and unwavering advocate in the fight against antisemitism.
Mike is defending a majority of 1,652 votes in the seat contested by Liberal Democrat candidate Luciana Berger and Labour’s Ross Houston.
