CFI is delighted to report that our new Parliamentary Chairman, the Rt. Hon. Eric Pickles MP, is set to receive a knighthood.
Downing Street announced today that Mr Pickles will be given the honour for his services to local government in the Cabinet, as an MP, and before that, in local government.
Mr Pickles has previously served as Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, chairman of the Conservative Party, and before becoming an MP was the leader of Bradford Council.
