CFI hosted a briefing event in Parliament this week on Iran with Behnam Ben Taleblu, chaired by CFI Parliamentary Chairman (Commons) Rt. Hon. Stephen Crabb MP.
Behnam is a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) and focuses on a wide variety of topics related to Iran including nuclear non-proliferation, sanctions, ballistic missiles, the IRGC, Iranian domestic and foreign policies, and the internal politics of the country.
The wide-ranging discussion covered Iran’s latest brutal attempts to suppress freedom of speech as well as the regime’s ongoing support for regional terrorism and nuclear programme.
Parliamentarians in attendance included CFI Vice-Chairman Rt. Hon. Theresa Villiers MP, CFI Officer Mary Robinson MP, James Sunderland MP, Gordon Henderson MP and Jonathan Djanogly MP.
