This week, Israeli Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Mark Regev, visited Scotland to celebrate Israel’s 69th Independence Day with Scottish parliamentarians and Jewish communities.
Ambassasdor Regev met with cross-party members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs), including Leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Ruth Davidson MSP, and Jackson Carlaw MSP as well as other Conservative MSPs.
Ms Davidson said that the discussions were “important”, with a focus on “security, higher education, technology, trade and closer links between our two countries”.
Ambassador Regev said that he had “very much enjoyed” the meeting with Conservative MSPs.
During his visit, Ambassador Regev addressed Glasgow’s Jewish community in Giffnock, and met with a cross-denominational group of Scottish Christian leaders in Edinburgh. He also spoke to students at the University of Glasgow and at Edinburgh University.
