CFI Officer and MP for Hendon, Dr Matthew Offord, this week welcomed 25 Israeli children to see Parliament and Downing Street, who were visiting London with the Israeli charity Zichron Menachem.
They were part of a larger group of over 150 Israeli children from Jewish and Muslim backgrounds, who are all diagnosed with different kinds of cancer, and were in London to spend an unforgettable summer camp week in the city.
This camp enabled the children to participate in activities they cannot normally do from a hospital bed, including trips to amusement parks, tours around town, and nightly parties.
The charity said: “Away from their home and hospital, they are able to truly relax, replacing medical treatment with smiles, laughter and excitement”.
The summer camp coincided with Zichron Menachem celebrating its 25th anniversary, with a dinner taking place to mark the occasion in London.
