The mother of Palestinian terrorist Muhammad Shamasne has spoken of her pride for her son and threatened her own terror attack, stating that she was aware his intentions.
On 12 October 2015, 22-year-old Shamasne boarded a bus in Jerusalem and stabbed a 19-year-old IDF soldier. He was shot dead by Israeli police while attempting to take the soldier’s gun.
The terrorist’s mother, Umm Muhammad Shamasne, said on Lebanese television that she was only angry that her son “did not take [her] to be martyred with him”.
She added that she hoped her other sons would also become martyrs: “Let Mu’tasim and Yousuf be martyred as well. It is all a sacrifice for the sake of Al-Aqsa and Palestine”.
Shamasne offered the interviewer sweets to celebrate Muhammad’s martyrdom, before pulling out a knife and making stabbing motions while declaring: “Watch out, Israel! Watch out!”
The reporter was visibly taken aback and asked Shamasne to put the knife away:“I understand the searing pain, the anger, and the tension, but we can’t have such things, if you’ll forgive me”.
On the subject of Israel’s policy of demolishing terrorist homes, Shamasne seemed unaffected and said: “The homes will be a sacrifice for the sake of Al-Aqsa. I will sacrifice my four children for the sake of Al-Aqsa, and I will be the first to sacrifice myself for the sake of Al-Aqsa”.
She threatened: “Watch out, Israel. You have brought the fire of Hell upon yourself, and you don’t know who you’re dealing with… there’s no need for me to say any more. My deeds will speak louder than words”.
