Two rockets were fired at the Israeli town of Sderot on Wednesday by terrorists in Gaza. One of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defence system.
Israel responded by striking terrorist infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, including a Hamas underground military facilities as well as a weapons production facility.
This month, over 400 rockets were fired at Israel by the Iranian-backed terror group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) following the targeted assassination of one of the group’s commanders, Bahaa abu al-Ata.
A ceasefire, brokered by Egypt, is currently in effect.
Over 1,230 rockets have been fired at Israel this year by terrorist groups in Gaza.
