CFI Parliamentary Chairman (Commons) Rt. Hon. Stephen Crabb MP discussed Iran and the aftermath of the assassination of General Soleimani on BBC Politics Live on Sunday, pointing out that Soleimani was one of the “key players” in the regime’s fostering of terror across the region.
Warning against appeasing Iran, he said: “There’s a view amongst some people that if you just keep heaping love on regimes like the Iranian regime, sooner or later they will come round and be responsible – well it hasn’t played out like that”.
Mr Crabb added: “While we might feel distaste about the US action and feel it’s dramatic and and startling and against our sensitivities, the fact is this person was one of the key players in the region – Iran has been fostering terror across the region, subverting democracy, subverting
legitimate governments across the region”.
