Seven Hamas members have died while working on a terror tunnel from Gaza into Israel after it collapsed following heavy rainfall.
The Izzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, reported that 11 terrorists were working on the tunnel in northeast Gaza when it collapsed. They said that seven were killed while four others were rescued.
Since Israel unilaterally withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, Hamas terrorists have built a sophisticated network of concrete-reinforced terror tunnels to infiltrate into Israel.
During Operation Protective Edge in 2014, Israel detected and destroyed 32 of Hamas’s terror tunnels.
Three other Hamas terrorists were killed earlier this month in tunnel collapses in Gaza.
