Minister for the Arts, Heritage and Tourism, Michael Ellis MP, visited Israel this week, to explore ways to encourage more tourism between the UK and Israel.
Mr Ellis met with Gonen Usishkin, the CEO of Israel’s El Al airline, and hosted a round table in Tel Aviv at the British Embassy to discuss how Britain can become the leading destination in Europe for Israeli visitors, including the possibility of new flight routes.
The Minister laid a wreath at Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem in memory to the victims of the Holocaust.
He also visited the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls.
