Conservative Candidate for Mayor of London, Zac Goldsmith, underlined his opposition to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel, in an interview on J-TV on Sunday, following his campaign day in North London with CFI.
Zac spoke to Dr Alan Mendoza of the Henry Jackson Society on key issues, including security, cohesion, anti-Semitism, and BDS against Israel.
On BDS, he said: “I think BDS has in part become a cover for something else…BDS has become an excuse for a much older form of hatred, and I think we need to guard against that”.
On Israel, Zac stated: “My view is that Israel is one of the most extraordinary countries on earth. It is the only democracy in an area of the world where there is no true democracy besides Israel. It is a little shining light in an otherwise dark part of the world, and I think we should do everything we can to strengthen our relationship”.
