The first ever virtual UK-Australia-Israel️ Leadership Dialogue took place this week, with numerous Conservative parliamentarians taking part.
Traditionally, this Jerusalem-based conference brings together parliamentarians, academics and opinion formers but as a consequence of Covid-19 it has been moved online this year.
The Leadership Dialogue featured panel debates on a range of topical issues from Iran’s nuclear programme and United Nations bias against Israel through to the ground-breaking Abraham Accords and China’s growing international influence.
Conservatives who participated in discussions included Rt. Hon. Liam Fox MP, Chair of the Defence Select Committee Rt. Hon. Tobias Ellwood MP, Rt. Hon. Theresa Villiers MP, and CFI’s own Rt. Hon. Stephen Crabb MP and Rt. Hon. The Lord Pickles.
Participants also included former Prime Ministers Tony Abbott and Ehud Olmert.
Welcoming viewers to the Dialogue, CFI Parliamentary Chairman (Lords) Rt. Hon. The Lord Pickles said: Despite the pandemic, delighted to say that CFI have continued to work with Conservative parliamentarians to ensure that Israel’s case is heard loud and clear in Parliament”.
