Iranian state-affiliated newspaper the Tehran Times published a front page spread on Wednesday threatening Israel. Next to the headline ‘Just One Wrong Move!’ a map of Israel can be seen, covered in location markers.

Although the paper did not explicitly explain what the markers represented, the article stated that “an intensification of the Israeli military threats against Iran seems to suggest that the Zionist regime has forgotten that Iran is more than capable of hitting them from anywhere”.

The article was written in response to recent talk of a possible strike by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Iran’s nuclear sites. The Tehran Times cited media stories about the trip to Washington that Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz and Mossad chief David Barnea took last week, where they reportedly stressed concerns over Iran’s ballistic missile threat.

It also noted that earlier this month, the IDF said that in the spring it will conduct a major training exercise simulating a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The Tehran Times article added that it “doesn’t need to remind the illegitimate regime of Israel of Iran’s defence capabilities… yet they need to remember something,” and concluded with the statement “keep your hands off!” This article comes as talks are being held in Vienna on whether to revive the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers. Talks took place today, and will be paused for a “few days”, Iran’s chief negotiator Ali Bagheri said.
