Labour anti-Semitism crisis: Party member suspended for claiming Jews behind Britain’s wars

mosabbirA Labour Party Campaign Officer has been suspended for tweeting anti-Semitic comments in the latest incident of anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.

This week, Tower Hamlets member Musabbir Ali tweeted a blog entry called the ‘Timeline of the Jewish Genocide of the British People’, accusing Jews of “financing Oliver Cromwell’s over-throwing and beheading of Stuart King Charles I after he refused them control of England’s finances” and of “engineering World War One and all future wars”.

Following a complaint made to the Jewish Labour Movement, Mr Ali was suspended from the Thursday pending further investigation.

Mr Ali was previously the chair of Spitalfields and Banglatown Labour Party.

Up to 50 members of the Labour Party have reportedly been suspended in the wake of the anti-Semitism crisis that has engulfed the Party in recent weeks.
