Tel Aviv was this week ranked as ‘happiest city in the world’ by The Travel blog.

The blog cited Tel Aviv’s “rich cultural heritage, kind people, and abundance of food, shopping, and learning” as reasons for the classification. “Tel Aviv has become a global hot spot for spring break and vacationing as a whole”, the blog continued.

“Progressive ideologies, often attracting the LGBTQ+ community to visit”, was a further explanation for its top ranking. Tel Aviv hosted its 25th annual Pride Parade at the beginning of this month attended by over 150,000 people. It is the largest Pride Parade in the Middle East.

Tel Aviv is home to UN World heritage Site – White City, the most museums in Israel, and numerous sushi restaurants ranking it the third sushi capital of the world.

Tel Aviv was listed alongside cities including Madrid, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Zurich, and Toronto, taking the title.

The City shares a high ranking with its country on the happiness scale. Israel ranked fourth happiest country in the world in the 2023 World Happiness Report.
