Over the past seven days, there have been a number of terror attacks in Israel, injuring several and resulting in the deaths of a 21-year old woman and an 18-year-old male soldier.

On Sunday, 21-year-old Hadar Buchris, was fatally stabbed by a 34-year-old Palestinian man as she waited for a ride at a hitchhiking stop at the junction. She received stabwounds to her head and her chest, and was evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital but could not be revived. IDF soldiers at the site shot and killed the terrorist.

The junction has been the site of several serious attacks during the past two months.

18-year-old IDF soldier Ziv Mizrahi was killed in a stabbing attack at the gas station on the highway between Jerusalem and Modi’in on Monday. A female officer and another woman were lightly wounded, and the terrorist was shot and killed by security forces.

On the same day, two Palestinians teenage girls, aged 14 & 16, stabbed passersby on Jaffa Road near the central Jerusalem market of Mahane Yehuda with scissors, wounding an elderly Palestinian man from Bethlehem. The assailants were shot, one killed on site. A security guard was wounded by the gunfire.

An 18-year-old Israeli youth was lightly wounded in a ramming attack near Shavei Shomron on Monday. Later, a Palestinian tried to stab soldiers at the Samaria Brigade Junction and was killed.

On Tuesday, a Palestinian rammed a car into security forces in the northern West Bank, wounding three IDF soldiers and a Border Policeman who were at the junction assessing additional security measures to prevent terror attacks. The assailant was shot and apprehended.

An IDF soldier was stabbed and seriously wounded at the Al-Fawar junction, south of Hebron on Wednesday. The assailant, 19, a student at the Palestine Technical College, was shot and killed.

On Sunday, at Kfar Adumim junction east of Jerusalem, a Palestinian taxi driver tried to ram his car into a group of Israeli pedestrians. After failing to hit anybody, he got out of the car and attacked them with a knife. One man was slightly wounded, and the attacker was shot and killed.

On Saturday, four people, including a 13-year-old girl, were wounded in a stabbing attack in the Israeli city of Kiryat Gat. The stabber was apprehended several hours later.

The past two months have seen over 90 terror attacks and attempted attacks carried out against Israelis, resulting in the deaths of 22 Israelis and many injuries.

Since 1st October, there have been around 74 stabbing attacks, ten shootings, and twelve car ramming attacks. 189 Israelis have been wounded in attacks, 20 of them seriously.

Over 90 Palestinians have been killed, of whom 58 are terrorists, with a further 40 arrested.

Violence has been fomented by repeated inflammatory false allegations from the Palestinian Authority, Fatah and Hamas accusing Israel of planning to destroy the al-Aqsa Mosque and other Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem.

Leading Palestinian officials have endorsed the terror attacks, and Palestinian social media has been circulating a number of images and videos calling for further violence.
